What is MOSCDC?

MOSCDC stands for Marine Officers' Spouses' Club of Washington, D.C.  Primarily MOSCDC is a social group of Marine Corps Officers' spouses; however, spouses of other retired, reserve, or active-duty U.S. Armed Forces Officers can also join. We focus on building friendships with one another and touring the local D.C. area attractions. Events are typically held the third Wednesday of the month unless otherwise noted. MOSCDC is a 501c (7) Nonprofit and non-federal entity. Donors may not deduct contributions made to us. It is not a part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and it has no governmental status.

What sort of events does MOSCDC host?

Some of our past events include:

• Exclusive tours of the White House, Mt. Vernon, the U.S. Capitol, FBI Headquarters, and various international embassies. 
• Visiting the National Zoo, Roosevelt Island, and several Virginia State Parks. 

Most of our events are held during the week and we are always hard at work adapting to our spouses' needs. Beyond MOSCDC events, we also participate in the annual Joint Armed Forces' of Washington' Luncheon (JAFOWL). It is a very popular event and members of all local military spouses' groups are invited to attend. Some of the past speakers at JAFOWL

Does MOSCDC need volunteers?

Of course! We welcome your presence, support, and involvement! Being on the MOSCDC Board offers spouses the ability to gain practical experience in everything from financial management to event planning.
