In 1957, President Dwight D. Eisenhower – away on vacation – was urgently needed back at the White House. What would have been a two-hour motorcade trip was reduced to a seven-minute helicopter ride courtesy of Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1). On that day, HMX-1 earned its most prestigious of missions – direct support of the President of the United States.

During this exclusive tour of the hangar and aircraft used by the President and Vice President, you'll experience:

• Introductory video in the HMX-1 ready room that covers the history and mission of HMX-1
•  Tour of the cage hangar where you'll view the "White Top Fleet" of aircraft used to transport the President of the United States
• Inside look at HMX-1 "White Top" VH-3, VH-60, and MV-22 Osprey (Pending Availability)
• Visit to the HMX-1 Gift Shop where Members can purchase exclusive HMX-1 memorabilia (cash or check only)

Social Security Number Requirement: For security reasons, Marine Helicopter Squadron One requires each visitor to provide his or her Social Security Number. You have the option of providing it on our encrypted site during registration or by contacting MOSCDC Reservations via email or phone. If you opt for the latter, the deadline is January 24, 2022.
