MOSCDC has been given 20 spots and two days to help decorate the Home of the Commandants for Christmas. What a wonderful opportunity this is!
The way this works is as follows. An email has already been sent to the entire membership population just as it has been done in the past for this event.** Now it's up to you to log on and register via our online registration system to secure your spot (just like you would register for any MOSCDC event).
The first 20 members to log on & register will secure a spot*
Date: November 18 & 19*
*If you can commit to two days it is preferable. The request has more to do with continuity in design since it spans two days. With the second day being finishing touches. Last year we were able to finish all the major decorating in one day. Thank you in Advance!
Location: 801 G St, S.E. Washington D.C. (Marine Corps Barracks)
Light Lunch Provided!
What to wear: Dress in comfortable clothes
There will be 20 parking spots available underneath the overpass at 7th St. and Virginia Ave SE. We suggest carpooling or the Metro. (Eastern Market Metro stop is the nearest)
SPOUSE TREE: Just as last year there will be a Spouse Tree that we will get to decorate! The theme is I'll be "Home" for Christmas. If you are helping to decorate the home we have been asked if possible to donate a Christmas ornaments from our home towns, cities or states. If you can bring a donated ornament with you to place on the Spouse tree, that would be great. These donated ornaments will then be used each year to decorate the spouse tree which is now becoming a tradition of being seen in the home.
**for our nine MOSCDC members who do not have email or access to this online registration we have made special arrangements and they have been included in this registration by other means. What if I have to cancel my reservation? IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW! 100% of your registration fee is refundable if you cancel prior to the RSVP date listed above. AFTER the RSVP date has past, money cannot be refunded. Please email the MOSCDC Reservations Chair immediately upon finding out that you have to cancel your reservation. Thank you.
