Jennifer Port Programs Chair Jennifer Port is serving as the MOSCDC Programs Chair for the 2026–2027 board year and is excited to help create memorable experiences for members throughout the year. Originally from Pennsylvania, Jennifer is new to MOSCDC but has already embraced the friendships, opportunities, and excitement the club has to offer. Jennifer and her husband, an active-duty CWO4, are raising two soccer-loving boys. A retired Master Sergeant herself, she brings a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for serving military families. California was one of her favorite places to live, and her adventures have taken her to an impressive 42 countries around the world. When she’s not planning events, Jennifer enjoys traveling, relaxing with a well-earned nap, and starting her day with black coffee and honey. Her dream vacation is simple: anywhere her family is together. She’s especially excited about planning unique experiences for members and helping make this year one to remember. |
Julia Sampsel Reservations Chair Julia Sampsel is serving as the MOSCDC Reservations Chair for the 2026–2027 board year. Originally from Houston, Texas, she is new to the MOSCDC community and excited to build friendships and create connections. Julia’s husband is an F-35 pilot transitioning to a Pentagon tour, and together they have two children, Mason (10) and Naomi (8), along with a dog and six horses! A lifelong horse lover, Julia is a competitive horseback rider who shows American Saddlebreds. She and her family also own a farm in Versailles, Kentucky, where they breed horses. When she’s not at the barn, Julia enjoys painting, board and card games, and hopes to learn mahjong soon. Her dream vacation destination is Greece, and she loves the idea of game nights and community-building events through MOSCDC. Julia says she is most excited about “making new friends and building a community” while returning to an area filled with culture and opportunities. She’s also pretty handy around the house — one of her hidden talents! |
Laura Viehmeyer Social Media Chair Laura Viehmeyer is serving as the MOSCDC Social Media Chair for the 2026–2027 board year and brings creativity, humor, and lots of personality to the group! Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania — but calling Key West home after living there for 10 years — Laura has been involved with MOSCDC for the past year and loves the friendships and connections that come from the community. Laura and her husband Rob, a USMC infantry officer currently working at the Pentagon, have two very active boys, Grant (9) and Garrett (7), who keep life busy with sports and activities. Key West holds a special place in her heart because it’s where she and Rob met in 2014. A self-proclaimed crafting addict, Laura loves crocheting, hand embroidery, reading, and apparently buying enough craft supplies for a lifetime 😂 She and her husband even got traditional hand-poked bamboo tattoos from a Buddhist monk while honeymooning in Thailand! Her perfect day? A beach, a book, a margarita, and absolutely nothing on the agenda. |
Evita Mosqueda Website Administrator Evita Mosqueda is serving as the MOSCDC Web Administrator for the 2026–2027 board year and is excited to help create fun, connection, and community throughout the year! Originally from Merced, California, Evita has been involved with MOSCDC for the past three months and already loves the camaraderie and welcoming atmosphere of the group. Evita comes from a multicultural Filipino and Mexican family and is a proud Marine and Marine Corps spouse. She says every duty station has been memorable, but Baton Rouge stands out for its culture and festivities. She loves dancing, exploring new places like a tourist wherever she lives, and enjoying a good matcha latte or red velvet cake. One of her wildest adventures? Completing two solo free-falling jumps — although she says she’ll happily stay on the plane from now on Evita is especially excited to meet new people, make memories, and enjoy social gatherings and trips this year. Fun fact: she loves dancing! |

Stacey and her husband Aaron have four daughters and recently welcomed their first son-in-law to the family. A proud Marine Corps spouse, she especially enjoyed living in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, where beautiful fall foliage, snowy winters, and a charming small-town atmosphere made it a favorite duty station. Stacey has embraced her role as a stay at home mom for years, though she once worked as a pediatric critical care travel nurse across several Children's Hospitals . She enjoys reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and cooking. Stacey is excited for new adventures this year and loves social events that bring members together. If you see her at an event, she’ll likely have a flat white in hand and be ready to hear all about your latest adventure! |

One of her favorite duty stations was Monterey, California, a place that holds many wonderful memories for her family. A self-proclaimed sports fan, Katie enjoys watching tennis and college football and loves opportunities to travel and explore new places. Her dream vacation is an African safari, and if you see her at an event, there’s a good chance she’ll be sipping a chai latte instead of coffee. When she’s not busy cheering from the baseball sidelines, Mimi works as an elementary school teacher in Stafford County. Camp Pendleton and Okinawa are among her favorite duty stations, and she loves shopping, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her family. Mimi says she doesn’t have a competitive bone in her body, but she absolutely loves having fun! She’s especially excited to meet new people this year and enjoys happy hours and weekend day trips.
