What: Hike of Theodore Roosevelt Island and Optional Post-Hike Lunch at a Nearby Restaurant (To Be Determined)

When: Monday, May 20, 2019, 10:30 am

Where: Theodore Roosevelt Island (Meet at Entrance to Pedestrian Bridge on Virginia Side)

Who: MOSCDC Members, Guests Big and Small, and Dogs Welcome

How: We'll gather at the Virginia side of the pedestrian bridge before heading to the Swamp Trail head. At 1 ½ miles, this Swamp Trail is the island’s longest. It passes through swampy woods and cattail marsh. The trail is part pea gravel and part boardwalk. This is an easy hike that's perfect for all skill levels and abilities.

Cost: Roosevelt Island entrance and parking are free.
