Details: Claude Monet said, “I must have flowers, always, and always.” Though we can’t have them always as DC Cherry Blossoms are seasonal, we’re going to do our best to see them at what the National Parks Service predicts will be peak bloom at the National Arboretum on Monday, April 5. With a plethora of gardens, plants, and the famous Capitol columns, the National Arboretum is a hidden gem in the middle of Washington, D.C., and a top-notch spot to see the Cherry Blossoms. As parking lots near the Tidal Basin will still be closed to discourage crowds and enforce COVID-19 restrictions, the National Arboretum offers an excellent, adventurous alternative. We’ll mask up and meet up at the entrance to the Arboretum before heading in to view the Cherry Blossoms and other sights. Bring a bagged lunch to enjoy with MOSCDC at 11 am in the National Grove of State Trees picnic area. For more information on the National Arboretum and it’s many features, visit U.S. National Arboretum (usda.gov).
R.S.V.P.: Kindly register yourself and the number of guests (including children) you'll be bringing by Friday, April 2, 2021.
